Hellooooo my quilting aficionados,

It’s almost time for my vacation and I realized I haven’t commented for a while. Summer in Ramona is in full swing, (that means it’s hotter than heck up here and we just need to stay in the air conditioning and quilt.) Come by the shop the A.C. is on and the fabric is cool. Lots of Batiks of course and plenty of Christmas fabric are inspiring my guests and my crew. Samples and ideas are everywhere. It’s going fast don’t delay.

Our teachers are clever girls, some famous and some just infamous with wonderfully creative ideas. They work hard in preparation for their classes; they love to share their expertise with you. We try to offer a varied class selection each quarter, from beginner to masters. Look for a project you like on the schedule but remember to stretch yourself and try something new. Friday August 1st you have a chance to take a class with Susan Baker. She always brings something new and clever. This time it's a patchwork called Pinwheels on Point. Susan always has a fun class, but they fill up very fast....hurry!


Sat. Aug. 2 Redworks and Applique clubs.
Tues. August 12th is an evening class with Debbie. It's easy and the B stands for big, big 18" blocks.


Wed. August 13th is the Side Tie Tote. Honestly, you will love this bag. People will stop you on the street and ask where you got it. Then when you'll say you made it. They will want one too and offer you big...BIG, bucks to make one for them. Your life will change dramatically...oh, sorry...it's a great class and you'll love the tote.


Thursday August 14th is the Sweet Child's Skirt class. If you have a girly girl in your life this is soooooooooo cute. It uses only 2 fabrics and is easy to sew. If it's so cute you can't resist, you could make it and donate it. Any little girl would love to have it.
Quilt as you go. Great idea. We have two very different 'quilt-as-you-go' classes.

Friday night August 22nd
and Sept. 3rd is Debbie's Star. This is individual quilt as you go blocks.

Saturday August 23rd is an easy, finish- it- fast quilt called Quilt As You Roll. If you have a Jelly Roll and are not sure what to do with it, Susan Baker has a clever idea.

The shop is closed Monday Sept.1st for Labor Day, but when the doors open at 9:30 on Tuesday the 2nd...you better be there for the first day of the Fall Sale and Clearance. The sale runs 'til 5pm Saturday the 6th. I've pulled so many amazing pieces to put on clearance, I have to cover them so I don't change my mind and mark them back to regular price.


Wed. Sept. 10th Susie is teaching machine quilting. If you just bought the JUKI TL-98Q take this class. Susie can quilt like craZy on that machine and she'll show you how.


Sept. 18th Kim is doing the Hydrangea Pinwheel. This is a one fabric quilt that uses a 4 Patch to create a pinwheel effect. It's pretty cool out of the Lakehouse Hydrangea print fabric.


Sept. 19th Susie is repeating the One Block Wonder class. This is another amazing one fabric quilt.


Friday evening, Sept. 19th Martha is teaching the must do, must have BIG FAT QUEEN! LOVE this quilt.
If you love batiks, his is a perfect quilt to show off their beautiful.


Sept. 20th Lyn is doing the CraZy 9 Patch our signature quilt. Everyone needs to do this easy, 'you-can't-mess-it-up' quilt. You can't make just one. This is a no stress class.


Tues. Sept. 23rd Kim is teaching a beginner paper piecing class. She assures me it is an easy block and that we can all make this quilt. Sign up quick, I've already taken spot #1.


FINISH IT FRIDAY!!! Friday Sept.26th. It's a potluck so sign up quick!!!
